Hi, I’m Victoria,
the heart behind Nurture & Rise.

Caring for little ones is something that runs in my blood — quite literally. I’m the granddaughter of two incredible women who worked as childminders long before I ever held my first picture book. From them, I learned that true care is not just about keeping a child safe, but about presence, patience, and the quiet art of nurturing.

Like many people with a natural gift for caregiving, I was gently nudged toward more “traditional” or “stable” careers. I studied law for two years, working part‑time as a childcarer alongside my studies. While I gained valuable skills (and a deeper appreciation for detail!), my heart kept returning to one thing: the joy and meaning I found in supporting children and families.

In 2018, I moved to London and began working as a nanny. Supporting families through the early months showed me how profound — and sometimes overwhelming — the first year of life can be. I built close connections with first‑time parents, including some experiencing postnatal depression, and saw how much difference calm, responsive support could make.

Since then, I’ve worked with more than 170 families across London, each with their own rhythms and stories. Alongside this rich experience, I’ve trained as an Early Years Practitioner (NCFE CACHE Level 3), qualified as a Maternity Nurse (OCN Level 5), and completed my certification as a Sleep Practitioner (OCN Level 6). My practice is rooted in evidence‑based knowledge, but also in countless quiet moments of connection — from soothing a colicky newborn to helping tired parents reclaim rest.

My aim is to support you, the parents, with calm, non‑judgemental presence, practical know‑how, and kindness. I believe in empowering families with rhythm and reassurance, not rigid rules.

At the heart of Nurture & Rise is a belief that care is not one‑size‑fits‑all — and that the most meaningful work often starts quietly, in your baby’s first year, with a little support and a lot of heart.

If you’re welcoming a new baby and looking for thoughtful, grounded support, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
